KIDS & STUDENTS
Kids’ Ministry Team
Check-In Team
- Responsibilities: Greet families and help them “Check-In” their kids. Also, help new families input their information into ShelbyNext.
- Time Commitment: Sunday mornings 2x/month, 9:00 or 10:30. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Baby to Crawlers (background check required)
- Responsibilities: Nurture babies through taking care of their physical needs (rest, play and hygiene). Partner with parents in pointing kids to Jesus.
- Time Commitment: Sunday mornings 2x/month, 9:00 or 10:30, willing to help during special events. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Preschool Team (background check required)
- Responsibilities: Review lesson sent via email prior to Sunday. Facilitate the assigned Bible lesson. Lead children in activities to reinforce the Bible lesson. Provide a nurturing and safe environment. Partner with parents in pointing kids to Jesus.
- Time Commitment: Sunday mornings for 1 month every 3 months, 9:00 and/or 10:30, one-year commitment, willing to help during special events. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Elementary (K-2nd & 3rd-5th grades) Small Group Leaders (background check required)
- Responsibilities: Study the lesson sent via email prior to Sunday. Tell the Bible Story and lead children through provided activities to reinforce the lesson. Partner with parents in pointing kids to Jesus.
- Time Commitment: Sunday mornings for 2 months (with 1 month off), 9:00 and/or 10:30, one-year commitment (8 months serving, 4 months off). Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of service.
Student Ministry Team
Greeting Team
- Responsibilities: Greeting every guest that arrives. Stand outside the doors to open doors for guests as they enter or if you are stationed on the inside of the building engage with guests. Help Student Small Group Leaders with any other needs they may have.
- Time Commitment: 1 month, 5:30-7:15 on Wednesday nights.
Hospitality Team
- Responsibilities: Serve snacks to guests. Help Student Small Group Leaders with any other needs they may have.
- Time Commitment: 1 month, 5:30-7:15 on Wednesday nights.
Small Group Leaders (background check required)
- Responsibilities: Lead weekly small group for 6-12th grade guys or girls. Plan semester “hang-out” times. Communicate with Campus pastor on the needs of his/her small group. Partner with parents in pointing kids to Jesus.
- Time Commitment: 1x a week, 5:30-7:15 on Wednesday night, One school-year commitment.
